Horseshoe Kidney

Abstract

|
Three cases of horseshoe kidney were reported. (Table 1) The incidence of these anomalies was 3/ 1424(0.21 %), male 2 and female 1. The shapes of cases were almost same, and typical horseshoe shaped. The renal hilum was on the antero-medial surface and the anterior lip of the hilum developed poorly. The ureter descended on the anterior surface of the isthmus. The isthmus had the independent arterial supply and other nonurological anomalies were not recognizable.
